The School of Automation at Banasthali Vidyapith is dedicated to engineering education, research, innovation, and industry-oriented learning in the fields of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation, and allied technologies. Established in 2016 in collaboration with the Bajaj Group, the School embodies the Vidyapith's commitment to academic excellence, technological advancement, and the holistic development of women engineers through the philosophy of Panchmukhi Shiksha.

The school provides a future-ready learning environment where strong theoretical foundations are integrated with experiential learning, enabling students to gain hands-on exposure to advanced engineering systems and develop innovative solutions to real-world industrial and societal challenges. By fostering multidisciplinary learning, critical thinking, creativity, and technical competence, the school prepares students to contribute effectively to the rapidly evolving landscape of Industry 4.0 and intelligent manufacturing.

The school offers a comprehensive range of Diploma, B.Tech., Integrated B.Tech.–M.Tech., M.Tech., and Ph.D. programmes in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation. It also offers elective courses in Mechatronics and Robotics for students from other engineering disciplines, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration and broadening technological perspectives.Research and innovation constitute the cornerstone of the school’s academic ecosystem. Faculty members, researchers, and scholars actively pursue cutting-edge research in diverse domains, including Robotics, Industrial Automation, Intelligent Control Systems, Machine Learning, Process Control, Smart Grids, Renewable Energy Integration, Power Systems, Cyber Security, Advanced Manufacturing, Additive Manufacturing, and Electronics & Communication Engineering.

The school is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories that provide students with extensive practical exposure to contemporary engineering technologies. Major facilities include the Advanced Robotics Laboratory, Mechatronics Laboratory, Advanced PLC Laboratory, Advanced Control Systems Laboratory, Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) Laboratory, Hydraulics and Pneumatics Laboratory, Sensorics Laboratory, Electrical Machines and Drives Laboratory, Switchgear and Protection Laboratory, Engineering Workshop, Industry 4.0 Laboratory, and an Advanced 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing Laboratory. A key highlight are advanced manufacturing infrastructure is the DMG MORI 5-Axis CNC Machining Centre, which enables precision machining, complex component manufacturing, and research in digital manufacturing technologies.Students are exposed to gain hands-on experience through advanced robotic platforms, including the Unitree G1 Humanoid Robot, NAO Robot, Robonova, Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR), Welding Robots, SCARA Robot, and 6-Axis Articulated Robot, providing exposure to intelligent automation, collaborative robotics, and smart manufacturing environments.

The school further strengthens industry-academia collaboration through dedicated innovation and skill-development centres, including the Bajaj Engineering Skill Training Centre, HDFC Innovation Hub, and MG Motors Automotive Facility. It also undertakes a Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India-sponsored project, promoting skill development through boot camps, technical training programmes, workshops, and capacity-building initiatives that nurture innovation, entrepreneurship, and professional excellence.Committed to the values of excellence, discipline, innovation, and societal responsibility, the School of Automation continues to develop technically competent, ethically grounded, and future-ready women engineers who can make meaningful contributions to industry, research, and national development.
